OUR BELIEFS
We believe in the deity and humanity of Jesus: We believe that Jesus Christ is the son of the living God. He came in this world with the purpose of serving humanity. He appeared in human flesh as God-man and lived a sinless life. He was God, He is God, and He will remain God forever John 1:14, Romans 9:5, Philippians 2:6, 1 John 4:2, and Colossians 2:9-10 Godhead: We believe that God is the creator of all things, including mankind, the heavens, and the earth.
Eternal God three in one: God the Father, God the son, God the Holy Spirit. Psalm 24:1, Genesis 1:1, Mark 12:29, and Psalm 46:10, 1 John 5:7-12
Holy Spirit: We believe that the Holy Spirit is part of the trinity ‘God-Spirit’. He is a God in a form of Spirit, living within us as counsellor, guider, and comforter. He sanctifies and empowers the Church. Romans 8:14, John 14:16-17, Ephesians 2:22, John 4:24 The redemptive work of Jesus and the salvation of man: We believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross to redeem us from the power of sin. Therefore, man’s salvation is found only through Jesus Christ and no one else or not because of our good deeds. If anyone confesses and believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God and that he was raised from the dead he/she will be served. John 14:6, Acts 4:12, John 3:19, Galatians 3:13, 1 John 5:1 Holy Bible: We believe in the whole Bible from Genesis to Revelation as the word of God. Useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training, 2Timothy 3:16, Joshua 1:8, Hebrews 4:12, Psalm119:105, Mathew 5:17-18
Water baptism: We believe in immersion baptism in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, as recommended by Jesus Christ in Mathew 28:19-20. We believe that baptism is a public sign, the declaration of following Jesus, and symbol of death and resurrection of Jesus Mathew 28:19-20, Acts 8:36-38, Romans 6:3-7, Colossians 2:12 Baptism of the Holy Spirit and the gifts of the Spirit: We believe that the baptism of the Holy Spirit equips the believers with power and the authority over the work of the enemy (Satan). This type of baptism enables us to use the supernatural gifts of the Holy Spirit mentioned in 1 Corinthians 12, and the ministry of the body of Jesus Christ recorded in Ephesians 4:11-13, Acts 1:4-5,8; Acts 2:4, Acts 19:1-7
Speaking in tongues: We believe that speaking in tongues is the initial evidence of the baptism in the Holy Spirit, as it happened on the day of the Pentecost Acts 2:3-4. Speaking in tongues is among the signs that accompany those who believe. Mark 16:17. Read; Acts 10:44-46, Acts 19:6, 1 Corinthians 14:18
Divine Healing: We believe in supernatural miracles and divine healing because our God is a miracle working God, who can heal our bodies from sicknesses and diseases. The healing and the blessings of God have been provided for us by the atoning death and victorious resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is the privilege of all believers and it is appropriated by faith in our heavenly Father’s promises. Exodus 15:26; Isaiah 53:4; Matthew 8:16-17; 1 Peter 2:24; Psalms 103:3
The second Coming of Jesus: We believe that Jesus will come back as he promised in John 14:1-3 to gather his people unto himself. Therefore, we as a church the body of Christ should always be ready for that great day. 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17, Mathew 24:37-44, James 5:7-8, Titus 2:13, Revelation 22:7
Eternal judgment: We believe in the eternal judgment, the Bible makes it clear in the book of Revelation 20:13-15 that devil and his angels and whosoever is not found written in the book of life will be judged and thrown into the lake of fire which is the second death Revelation 19:20, Romans 6:23, Mathew 25:46
The nature of Satan: We believe that Satan also called devil has been cast down from heaven because of his rebellion against God Revelation 12:7-9 and by his influence, he brought the downfall of man (Adam) and now he seeks to destroy the faith of anyone who believes in Jesus Christ. Matthew 4:1-1; James 4:7; 1 Peter 5:8; John 13:2. Genesis 3:1-1
